GTYS™: Green Technology in Your Site™.
The GTYS® acronym not only stands for Go To Your Site® and GoToYourSite.com®, it also stands for:
► Group Technology in Your Site™ (as it allows for the creation of a GCMS)
► Green Technology in Your Site™ (as it complies with our Green Initiatives)
► Global Technology in Your Site™ (as it supports Multi-Language, Multi-Currency and Multi-Company environments, allowing for Global Implementations for Collaboration in Cloud Computing Content Management and Exchange)
There are several ways GoToYourSite.com, LLC. applies “Green” initiatives in the development of the GoToYourSite.com Software and the execution of it's Business Model.
For example:
1) GoToYourSite.com, LLC. is a company that runs on the internet and follows a Software as a Service Business Model. This business model eliminates the production of CD's, Packaging and Distribution that exist in the delivery of software to the final user. In other words, if you go to a computer store, you will not find a Box with our software sitting on a shelf. If you give us a call to purchase the software, we will not ship it to you, we will give you access to the software in our technology platform hosted by us.
2) The applications developed by GoToYourSite.com, LLC. are designed with the "Green" initiative in mind. These applications, available to the market now as well as the existing applications under research and development, are design from the ground up with a "Green" vision. The existing applications like the Marketing Campaign Program, the Workplace & Employee Group and the Educational Program, are applications that minimize the consumption of paper, carton and plastic, reduce the energy consumption of computer and cooling equipment and minimize the carbon footprint by users (employees, professors, students, professionals, etc).
For example, the Marketing Campaign Program, not only utilizes the "Website Template" as an electronic brochure of the company that now does not need to be sent to a printing company and then mailed to the consumer; it also utilizes software development techniques (like the Workplace & Employee Group and the Educational Program), that allow:
1) No Duplication of Documents that normally exist with e-mails, when people reply and chain the content several times or when sending an e-mail with attached documents to several e-mail addresses (creating several copies of the same document in several computers). This is a big problem, as these use hardware disk space, that translate in more servers, that translate in more power consumption by servers and by cooling systems.
2) No Duplication of Content (text, images, audio, and video), when pushing website content across the Commercial, Workplace or Educational Groups.
3) Access to Corporate Systems from Anyplace, by using the Workplace & Employee Group that provides each employee with the Employee Self Service Portal™, allowing the employee and company to be more effective on getting the job done and cutting time and expenses on unnecessary commutes. The Workplace Group and Employee Self Service Portal™, allow remote connection to the corporate systems without compromising security and performance.
4) Conservation of Human Life, by using the Emergency Notifications System every time there is a dangerous situation at the workplace or at the campus in the Universities/Schools. The Emergency Notifications System is also being used in preparation of Mather Nature weather threats like hurricanes, tornados, lightening, flooding and earthquakes that will result in evacuation procedures.
